Greenserve Turns 40
October 2022 is a special month for GreenServe as we celebrate our 40th year of trading!
The company was founded in October 1982 by Brian Cooper, who grew the business from its base in Worthing and established ‘Greenacres Services’ into one of the largest independent Grounds Maintenance companies in the region.
As the company grew, so did it’s reach, and Greenacres soon started covering the surrounding counties of Hampshire, Surrey, and East Sussex. This growth was built on trust, hard work, and an ability to deliver quality service; all traits that we continue to carry as a company today.
GreenServe as we later became, is now into its second generation of the Cooper family and is now run as partnership between Darren Cooper and his wife Shelley, who have been involved in the business since 2011.
Whilst keeping the ethos of being an independent family-run business at the core of all we do, we have continued to expand in recent years and now work with some of the largest managing agents in the country, covering all the Southeast of England and Greater London areas.
As well as managing agents, we also work with local councils, retail parks, housing estates, schools and hotels providing them with a full range of commercial grounds maintenance services with a hands-on approach and excellent customer service.
The aim today, as it has always been, is to provide our clients with a first-class service on all aspects of their ground’s maintenance requirements. Whilst we are extremely proud of our history, we are also excited by our future and are always seeking to grow and improve which has been shown recently with the addition of increased staffing numbers.
We would like to thank all our existing staff for their continued hard work, as well as many previous staff who have worked alongside us during the past 40 years.
Above all we are grateful to our valued clients who we have had the pleasure of working with and we would like to thank you for your continued support.
The past 40 years have been great, and now we cannot wait to see what the next 40 years bring!
