Here at Greenserve, we specialise in the upkeep of business and retail parks, industrial and housing estates, council and parish councils, schools and colleges, blocks of flats, retirement properties and care homes, hotels and just about any other type of commercial property. We’ve built up a fantastic customer base and reputation locally and further afield too, and now is the right time for us to build on our success.

So, what are we looking for?
First and foremost, you’ll lead the site operative teams. You’ll ensure they have the right tools, both literally and metaphorically, to achieve brilliant things for our customers. You’ll be their first port of call for day-to-day queries and support.
You’ll lead from the front, showing what it means to take pride in your work and what a good job looks like. Our teams undertake a variety of tasks for our clients; from grass cutting to hedge reductions, curb cleaning to litter picking and you won’t consider yourself above any of these tasks. Alongside this, you’ll conduct regular site checks and feedback to operatives. You’ll the have the personal communication skills to do this constructively and will be keen to help the personal development of every member of the team. You’ll understand that productive operatives and perfectly executed jobs are essential to success. And you’ll get a kick out of seeing high-quality results and spotless sites.
You’ll definitely have experience in grounds/site maintenance and managing teams, will hold the necessary licences (PA1 and 6, possible chainsaw and competent on most machinery) and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Health & Safety guidance. Plant and tree identification will be a bonus.
You’ll also be the critical feedback loop back to the directors, ensuring they have weekly updates on the progress of the team and the delivery of each job.
It’s all about people and processes. Delivering for our clients. Looking after our hard-working staff, ensuring they’re motivated and supported in their roles. Plus, you’ll assist the directors as they continue to expand Greenserve, freeing up their time as you lead on day-today operations. You’ll be the missing piece of the jigsaw that enables us move to the next level as the business grows and flourishes.
